In this compact, hands-on workshop, you'll get a comprehensive introduction to the world of DJing – no prior knowledge required. After a quick get-to-know-you session, you'll head straight to the DJ booth, where a professional setup awaits you: You'll work on Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus players and a DJM 900 mixer – the same equipment used in clubs around the world. High-quality headsets will also be provided. You don't need to bring anything with you – not even your own music – I've got everything ready.
In the workshop, you'll learn the theoretical basics: How are electronic tracks structured? What do BPM and key mean – and why are they important for good transitions? Step by step, I'll show you how to select, analyse, and combine songs. The goal is to be able to beatmatch independently and create your own transitions – while developing a feel for flow, rhythm, and timing.
A special extra: While you're at the decks, photos will be taken of you – so at the end, you'll not only have new skills, but also your first professional DJ photos!
