What you can expect

Join us for a thrilling double dive off the coast of Porto, specially designed for certified advanced divers. The highlight of this experience is a dive at the historic U-Boat 1277, a German WWII submarine that lies peacefully on the seafloor at approximately 30 metres depth.
The German submarine U-1277 was a Type VIIC U-boat commissioned by Nazi Germany during World War II. Launched in 1944, it was one of the last operational U-boats built before the war ended.
On May 8, 1945, Germany officially surrendered. However, the crew of U-1277 chose not to surrender immediately. Instead, they continued sailing for several days before scuttling the submarine off the coast of northern Portugal on June 3, 1945, to avoid capture. The entire crew survived and swam to shore near Angeiras, north of Porto, where they were eventually taken into custody by Portuguese authorities and later handed over to the Allies.
Today, the U-1277 rests at about 30 metres deep, serving as both a historic war relic and an artificial reef teeming with marine life. It offers divers a rare opportunity to explore a preserved piece of World War II history under the sea.
Now home to marine life and steeped in history, it's one of Portugal’s most iconic wreck dives.
A true bucket-list dive for wreck diving enthusiasts.
Your second dive will take place at a nearby reef or another wreck selected on the day based on conditions. Expect rich biodiversity, striking underwater landscapes, and a smooth balance between exploration and safety.
