Overview

If crowds and crowded places aren’t your thing, this is a great option. Just an hour further than Teotihuacan, in Xochicalco you can enjoy a beautiful archaeological site very little visited.
Then we will head to the City of Cuernavaca, the city of eternal Spring as described by Alexander von Humboldt.
Here we will visit a 16th century convent and the museum of archaeology of Morelensian cultures.

It is one of the closest archaeological sites to Mexico City (approximately 2 hours 15 hours); in this place various cultures were established, including the Maya, it was an important political, commercial and religious centre, one of the cultures that sought to take the place of Teotihuacan after its collapse. Located in a small, beautiful and green mountain, this place will love you.

Catedral de Cuernavaca

The now Cathedral of Cuernavaca was formerly a 16th century Franciscan convent, important place for being among the few convents standing this century.
