Guet Ndar is the lively, densely populated fishing district of Saint‐Louis, a place full of colours, sounds and movement. It is located on the Langue de Barbarie, directly opposite the historic island, and is considered one of the most populous areas in the world.

The Grande Mosquée de Saint‐Louis is one of the most striking buildings on the island and an architectural feature throughout Senegal. Its most striking feature is the rectangular clock tower, which makes it the only mosque in the world with a tower clock.
