Tour Itinerary

This tour will be entirely carried out in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle, ensuring safety and convenience throughout your journey. Travelling by 4x4 allows us to reach remote areas, explore rugged landscapes, and enjoy smooth transfers between parks, villages, and coastlines. It’s the perfect way to experience Madagascar’s beauty with flexibility and comfort.

Day 1 – April 25, 2025 | Ankarana National Park (Grey Tsingy)
Early morning departure from Nosy Be at 6:00 AM, directly from the port of Hell-Ville. A speedboat will take you to Ankify. Upon arrival, our private car—already reserved for the trip—will be waiting. We then drive towards Ambilobe, continuing to the village of Mahamasina, the gateway to Ankarana National Park. The journey takes about 3 hours, and we will arrive around 12:30 PM. Lunch is already arranged with our local provider.

In the afternoon, after lunch, we will start our visit to the park (approx. 3 hours), walking through the trails that lead up to the suspension bridge. Overnight stay at Chez Aurelien Lodge (bungalow accommodation) in Ankarana.

Day 2 – April 26, 2025 | Red Tsingy & Arrival in Diego Suarez
After breakfast, departure towards Diego Suarez. On the way, we stop at the crossroads to reach the Red Tsingy, located about 20 km away. Arrival is expected around 9:30 AM for a one-hour visit of this extraordinary natural site.

Afterwards, we continue the drive to Diego Suarez, arriving around 12:30 PM. Check-in at Giardino Esotico Hotel, where we will spend two nights.

Day 3 – April 27, 2025 | Excursion to the Emerald Sea, the Three Bays & Giant Baobab
Full-day excursion dedicated to the discovery of Diego Suarez’s coastal wonders. We will explore the turquoise waters of the Emerald Sea, visit the breathtaking Three Bays (Baie des Dunes, Baie des Pigeons, and Baie des Sakalava), and admire the impressive Giant Baobab. Overnight stay at Giardino Esotico Hotel.

Day 4 – April 28, 2025 | Amber Mountain National Park & Transfer to Ambilobe
After breakfast, departure around 7:30 AM with luggage. We drive towards Joffreville to reach Amber Mountain National Park, a lush rainforest full of waterfalls, volcanic lakes, and endemic wildlife. The guided visit lasts about 3 hours.

Lunch will be served at the Mamabe Restaurant, already arranged with our provider. In the afternoon, we continue on the road towards Ambilobe for an overnight stay at Kozobe Hotel.

Day 5 – April 29, 2025 | Cocoa Plantation Visit & Return to Nosy Be
After breakfast, departure from Ambilobe at 7:30 AM towards Ankify. On the way, we stop in the village of Ambalavelona for a 30-minute visit to a cacao plantation, where we will learn about cocoa production.

We then continue to Ankify port for the speedboat transfer back to Nosy Be (approx. 45 minutes on a collective boat with other passengers). Arrival in Nosy Be is expected around 1:00 PM.
