Indian Hindu Weddings are elaborate spreading over number of days during which many wedding-related ceremonies are organised. Guests attending this Experience shall get an opportunity to be part of the Indian Wedding on its most important & auspicious day on which the actual Wedding Events will happen.
The Wedding Events shall commence in the evening on the Wedding Date in chronological order as listed below
Band Baja Baraat : Is a lively Wedding procession where the Groom will arrive at the Venue to claim his Bride, accompanied by his family and friends, dancing and celebrating with loud music, dances and fireworks.
Jaimala : Is a wedding ritual where Groom & Bride will exchange floral garlands, symbolising their acceptance of each other as life partners.
Saat Phere : Is the most sacred ritual in a Hindu wedding, where Groom & Bride will take seven rounds around a sacred fire (Agni - representing divine presence) with each round representing a vow they make to each other.
Vidai : Is the emotional ceremony where the Bride will bid farewell to her family and will leave for her new home with the Groom.
You will get to witness and participate in all the above Wedding Events at the Venue.
'Gurdh Chadhi' is another important pre-Wedding ritual where the Groom will mount a decorated horse, symbolising his transition from bachelorhood to married life and go to a nearby Temple for prayers. In some cases, this ritual is organised by the Groom's family at the Wedding Venue itself before the Band Baja Barat Event (refer S. No. 1 above). The Guests might also get an opportunity to see this ritual at the Wedding Venue.
Please note that the timings indicated above are approximate. The Wedding Events may start a bit late or early depending on the situation.
FOOD - During the Wedding, you shall be served Dinner consisting of vast number of local vegetarian Indian dishes & breads. Before and after Dinner, you shall also be able to enjoy unlimited Desserts, Drinks & Snacks to satiate your cravings while you are at the Venue.
GIFTING - No formal gifts are expected or required from you. However, if you'd like to extend a warm welcome to the newlyweds, a small bouquet or flowers would be a thoughtful and appreciated gesture.
DRESSES - While traditional Indian clothing is encouraged, it's not mandatory. Feel free to wear Western attire if you prefer. However, if you're interested in dressing in traditional Indian wear, your Guide will be happy to provide recommendations on what to wear and where to purchase authentic Indian outfits.
