Your journey will take you to the early Christian Roman fortress "Tsari Mali Grad", located on the hill of St. Spas at the foot of Verila Mountain. The fortress is a historical site of exceptional importance for Bulgaria explored in 2007. It was built during the early Christian period and was an important defence and cultural centre during antiquity and the early Byzantine period. Archaeological research on the hill "St. Spas" reveals five phases from the early Iron Age to the Byzantine period, including Thracian cult pits, a Roman fortress with towers, and an early Christian church. There, you will have about 1 hour to explore the fortress and to take memorable photos!
Belchin

"Tsar Mali Grad" is the old name of the village of Belchin. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the early Christian Roman fortress. Belchin is famous for its warm mineral springs with healing properties since ancient times. The mineral water in Belchin is suitable for the treatment of the peripheral nervous system, joint, gynecological and orthopedic diseases. At your disposal are an indoor mineral pool (29 °C), an outdoor mineral pool (28 °C) /summer season/, a Roman bath (thermal pool, 39 °C) with air nozzles, water jets and a geyser, a Finnish sauna, a warm relaxation area, a relaxation area, three massage rooms, therapy rooms and a beauty studio. In the pool area there is a health bar that offers various tonic drinks and shakes. The complex has a restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and excellent cuisine.
