What you can expect

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a must-see destination in Bavaria: known for sports like skiing and hiking, wellness and its breathtaking nature, you are welcomed to experience this city’s lovely traditional Bavarian atmosphere.
While taking a walk in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you will get to admire little alleys with traditional Bavarian houses. You will also go up Zugspitze Mountain - Zugspitze Germany’s highest mountain at 2962m and can be easily reached by railway or cable car. From the top, you will experience a beautiful view over Bavaria’s landscape.
If the weather is good, an excursion to the remarkable Partnach Gorge, a vestige of an ice-age glacier at the Zugspitz plateau, is a great experience! It has a length of about 2305 feet and its walls rise up to 263 feet. An iron bridge takes guests through the beauty of nature to explore galleries, caves and passages blasted into the rock.
