What you can expect

Begin your day with one of the Northern Territory’s most iconic wildlife experiences. Enjoy a jumping crocodile cruise with optional land-based barramundi fishing at a private, sustainably managed aquaculture facility, plus a scenic stop at the world-renowned Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, famous for its wetlands, birdlife, and timeless NT atmosphere.

Your morning begins with hotel pickups from 7:30 AM as you travel along the Arnhem Highway towards the Adelaide River floodplains. Your guide, professional, certified, and rich in local NT knowledge, sets the scene with stories about crocodile behaviour, Top End ecology, traditional significance, and the diverse wildlife that thrives in this region. A short stop at Fogg Dam allows you to take in sweeping wetlands, waterbirds, and classic NT scenery before continuing to the river.

Board a custom-built, AMSA-certified river vessel with high sides and reinforced safety barriers designed specifically for crocodile country. With Coxswain-qualified guides at the helm, cruise through prime habitat for the Australian Saltwater Crocodile and observe these incredible animals displaying natural behaviours in their own environment.

Under a government-issued NT Parks & Wildlife permit, your guides conduct educational crocodile feeding demonstrations that allow natural movement without forced interaction. Learn about crocodile biology, conservation challenges, river ecosystems, and the vital role these apex predators play in the Top End.

After the cruise, choose between two experiences:

Option 1: Land-Based Barramundi Fishing (Catch & Release)
Try your hand at catching an iconic NT barramundi in a purpose-built, private aquaculture environment. Fully supervised and beginner-friendly, this catch-and-release activity uses sustainably sourced fish from our on-site farm. Caught fish are transferred to a recovery pond to reduce stress. Learn about barramundi farming, aquaculture practices, and NT food production.

Option 2: Relax in the Wetland Café Pavilion
If fishing isn’t for you, unwind on the shaded café overlooking the floodplains. Take in the scenery, watch for wildlife, and enjoy a classic NT morning.

This experience operates under strict NT and national compliance standards, with eco-certified attractions, AMSA-certified vessels, Coxswain-qualified skippers, advanced first aid staff, mandatory safety briefings, and full supervision at all times. Animal welfare, guest safety, and environmental responsibility are central to the experience.

This is not a staged wildlife show - it's a genuine NT adventure run by people who live and breathe the Territory lifestyle. Learn, laugh, relax, and discover the real Northern Territory through its animals, landscapes, and stories. You’ll return to Darwin at approximately 1:00 PM, leaving your afternoon free to explore the Top End.
