If you come on a cruise, please, follow the MEETING INSTRUCTIONS Outside the gates of the cruise ship terminal, take a taxi to the Mar Adentro Dive Center, inside the Blue Kay Ecocabañas, a 5' drive, $ 4 USD per pax (not included in the diving service). The driver should take you to the Blue Kay parking area, in front of the reception. Walk towards the sea front, the dive center on the right, close to the restaurant, about 90 feet away.

What you can expect

Your crew, captain and guide, will be waiting for you at the dive centre. Upon arrival, you'll receive your snorkel gear, which has been previously cleaned and disinfected; however, you can ask them to do it again in your presence. Your guide will give you a briefing and provide you with fish ID charts to be used during your tour.
The boat will take you to the snorkel area along the Mahahual village. It is a boat 21 feet long, completely safe and good for a maximum of 6 snorkellers. The tour consists of two stops in two different zones, one more visited by other snorkellers due to its high probability of swimming with sea turtles, and a second one where no other snorkellers will be are around. In between both areas, the boat will take you to the beach if you want to relax and enjoy the snacks and drinks that the staff brings in the cooler.
Your guide will bring a safe ring with him that can be used by whoever needs to rest. And besides taking care of the group and pointing at animal life, will take some pics of the participants that will become memories of a great experience!
