What you can expect

Explore the former capital of al-Andalus by night on a guided trip to the Medina Azahara archaeological site. Learn about the Moorish history of Spain as you explore the remains of this medieval palace-city, built by Abd-ar-Rahman III al-Nasir.

Stroll around the ruins of the city under a star-filled sky and feel yourself transported back to the Middle Ages. Take in the beauty of the area being bathed by the moonlight.

Hear about all its historical details and get a better understanding of its importance in the 10th and 11th centuries. Appreciate the remains of the palaces, mosques and formal gardens while guided by a local expert.

Medina Azahara without bus: Tuesday to Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Meeting point: Entrance gate to the site. To do so, guests must arrive at the Medina Azahara car park well in advance to take the shuttle (€3 per customer) and allow enough time to reach the meeting point. Prices:
