What you can expect

  • To confirm your sightseeing tour, we must request the tickets from the Corcovado National Park office. You must provide the following in a message: full name and passport number. To check the availability of tickets for Corcovado National Park.
Your adventure begins very early in La Palma de Puerto Jiménez, where you'll meet your naturalist tour guide and the rest of the group to start the transport to the Los Patos Station, one of the most remote and least visited entrances to Corcovado National Park. During the tour, you'll see how the landscape gradually changes from rural areas and local farms to a stunning rainforest that heralds the vastness of the jungle you're about to explore.

Upon arrival at Los Patos, you'll receive a short safety briefing and recommendations to make the most of your experience. From the very first steps on the trail, you'll feel the true essence of Corcovado. This route is considered by many nature lovers to be one of the most spectacular hikes in Costa Rica, as it crosses vast areas of virtually untouched primary forest, home to an incredible diversity of flora and fauna.

During the hike, you'll have excellent opportunities to observe some of Corcovado's most iconic species. With a little luck, you'll be able to spot capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, coatis, peccaries, collared opossums, toucans, trogons, scarlet macaws, and a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians. Your tour guide will use professional optical gear to help you spot animals that often go unnoticed by the untrained eye, and will share fascinating information about the ecosystems, the natural history of the park, and the conservation efforts that have made Corcovado one of the most important places for biodiversity on the planet.

The route to Sirena passes through some of the wildest and best-preserved sections of the park. As you get closer to the station, the forest becomes even more impressive, and the feeling of isolation will make you feel like you've travelled to a completely different world. After several hours of exploring, you'll arrive at the Sirena Station, considered the biological heart of Corcovado.

Once in Sirena, you can rest, enjoy a well-deserved meal, and experience the unique tranquility of staying inside the park after most visitors have already left. As the evening descends, the activity of the wildlife changes and the jungle begins to transform. It's common to see animals moving near the station while you enjoy the privileged environment around you.

You'll spend the night at the Sirena Station, an experience that very few travellers have the opportunity to enjoy.
