What you can expect

Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of African dance, arts, and culture at the Chiku Awali African Dance Extravaganza. Head to Rockland Community College and enjoy a performance by the Bambara Drum and Dance Ensemble along with the Chiku Awali Community Dancers at the 22nd Annual Extravaganza. Witness African dances, dances from Haiti, hip-hop, ballet, and musical theatre.

Take part in a dance workshop at 1:00 PM and open the show. Then, take a djembe workshop at 1:50 PM and be among the first acts to open the show. Enjoy food at the cafe and browse African wares at the Vendor Marketplace.
