Our first stop is the unique Longneck Karen Village, located about 40 minutes from Chiang Rai town. Learn about the customs, traditions, and daily life of the Karen people, known for their distinctive brass neck rings. Your guide will help you connect with their fascinating culture in a respectful and informative way.
Choui Fong Tea Plantation
Relax and enjoy the serene landscape of rolling green tea fields at one of the region’s most famous tea plantations. Taste freshly brewed Oolong tea, take photos from scenic viewpoints, and breathe in the cool mountain air.
Wat Tham Pla (Monkey Cave Temple)
This peaceful temple is surrounded by lush nature and home to playful short-tailed monkeys. Explore the cave, walk around the tranquil grounds, and hear the legends and local stories shared by your guide.
Golden Triangle Viewpoint & Big Buddha's Statue
Stand at the world-famous Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. Learn about the area’s intriguing history with the opium trade and enjoy panoramic views over the Mekong River and surrounding countries and will see the great giant Buddha beside Mekong River, also the symboric sign of the Golden Triangle.
Mae Khong River Boat Trip
Take a relaxing boat ride along the mighty Mekong River. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you float between borders. Along the way, you'll witness the charming riverside landscapes of each country. The boat will travel approximately 5-6 kilometres or 30 min.
️6. The Opium Museum (House of Opium)
End the day with a visit to this fascinating museum that tells the storey of the opium trade and its deep impact on the Golden Triangle. You'll also learn more about the traditions and lifestyles of the local hill tribes.
After the tour, we will return to your hotel in Chiang Rai. The drive back takes about 1 hour.
