“You don't live by celebrating victories, but by overcoming defeats.” Phrases like this define the personality of Ernesto “Che” Guevara, one of the most important Argentinians in the first half of the 20th century. Did you know that he was born in Rosario in 1928? At 8:30 a.m., we'll pick you up from your hotel to head to the places in the city that left their mark on the life of this character.

We'll start the “Che” sightseeing tour of Rosario by passing by the birthplace of Ernesto Guevara, located at the crossroads of Calle Urquiza and Calle Entre Ríos. From there, we'll head to Plaza del Che, where we'll see the mural that was unveiled in 1997, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of his death.

Next, we'll make another stop at the Rosario Rose Garden. As we'll see, there are several explanatory panels in this garden that tell the storey of “Che”, who was photographed for the first time with his parents in this place. We'll also pass by Parque de la Independencia, where we'll see the photo of Che that was taken in January 1952, just as he began his trip through Latin America on the legendary motorcycle “La Poderosa”.

If you take the sightseeing tour from Monday to Friday, we will make a final stop at the CELChe: the Ernesto “Che” Guevara Centre for Latin American Studies. We will visit its exhibition, which reviews both the life and work of “Che” over several decades.
