Embark on a trek across the iconic Mount Etna with a certified naturalistic guide. Take in breathtaking views, discover local history, visit a lava cave, and admire the southeastern crater — Etna’s most active area. Trekking poles, shoes, and warm clothing are provided for your comfort.

After your pickup, you’ll head towards Etna, travelling off-road along the historic Trazzere routes, where you’ll see the lava flows from 1792. Your guide will share insights about the volcano’s unique flora and fauna.

Learn about Mount Etna’s fascinating past as you continue towards the Bove Valley, an ancient caldera formed around 64,000 years ago by the collapse of two major eruptive centers.

Your hike begins at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level. Follow quiet trails away from the usual tourist paths, passing recent lava flows and soaking up panoramic views of the coastline.

During the trek, you’ll have the chance to stop and enjoy sandwiches and local delicacies (at your own expense) and explore a lava cave. There will be a short stop in a tourist area to refresh. At the end of your adventure, you’ll be taken back to your original pickup point.
