What you can expect

Day 1: Cardiff, Caerphilly Castle, and Cardiff Bay

Begin with a warm welcome from your private chauffeur-guide at your accommodation. Travel to Caerphilly Castle, Wales’ largest medieval stronghold. Explore the sprawling fortress, leaning south-east tower, moat, battlements, and Great Hall. Your guide explains the castle’s Norman history and battles for Welsh independence.

Return to Cardiff for a panoramic driving tour, including the Civic Centre, Castle Quarter, St Mary Street, Principality Stadium area, and the Victorian and Edwardian arcades. End your day at Cardiff Bay’s Mermaid Quay and the Wales Millennium Centre. Enjoy leisure time for cafés, dining, or a waterfront stroll. Overnight in Cardiff.

Day 2: Gower Peninsula Beaches and Cliffs

Head west into the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walk to Rhossili Bay and Worm’s Head, one of Britain’s most photographed coastal viewpoints, with beautiful cliffs and sweeping beaches. Take an optional short walking route for panoramic photographs at Three Cliffs Bay Viewpoint.

Relax at family-friendly golden beaches at Caswell Bay or Langland Bay, or enjoy cafés overlooking the water. Stop in Mumbles Village to browse boutique shops and enjoy views of Mumbles Pier and lighthouse. Return to Cardiff for an evening at leisure.

Day 3: Brecon Beacons and Waterfalls

Travel north to Wales’ mountainous landscapes. Visit well-known waterfalls such as Sgwd yr Eira, where you can walk behind the waterfall, Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, and Sgwd y Pannwr. Your guide selects routes based on your ability and pace.

Enjoy a traditional Welsh village break in Brecon Town or Crickhowell for snacks or local bakery treats. Relax as you return to Cardiff through rolling countryside and forest routes. Your chauffeur drops you at your hotel or Cardiff airport, completing your private Welsh journey.
