Cappadocia (Pass by)

Your day begins at 09:00 AM with hotel pick-up in Cappadocia. The first stop is Tatlarin Underground City, located 22 km from Nevşehir. Dating back to the Hittite period and later used by early Christians as a refuge, this fascinating underground settlement features carved rooms, tunnels, storage areas, and worship spaces that reveal the region’s unique subterranean life. The tour continues to Ağzıkarahan Caravanserai, a 13th-century Seljuk structure built along the ancient Silk Road, once serving as a resting point for merchants and caravans. After lunch at a local restaurant, we visit Tuz Gölü (Salt Lake), famous for its stunning white salt flats and unique landscape. Saratli Kirkgoz

  • 45m
Saratlı Kırkgöz Underground City is located approximately 22 kilometres (13 miles) from Nevşehir, in the Saratlı district of Cappadocia. Believed to date back to the Roman and early Byzantine periods, the underground city was carved into soft volcanic rock and used as a shelter during times of invasion and unrest. It features multiple levels with living quarters, storage rooms, kitchens, ventilation shafts, and defensive stone doors designed to protect its inhabitants. Although smaller than some of Cappadocia’s more famous underground cities, Saratlı offers a quieter and more intimate exploration experience. Its well-preserved tunnels and chambers provide visitors with a clear understanding of how ancient communities lived underground for safety and survival. The site is easy to navigate and gives an authentic insight into the region’s fascinating subterranean heritage.

Agzikarahan Hani

  • 1h
Ağzıkarahan Caravanserai is a remarkable 13th-century Seljuk structure located along the historic Silk Road, approximately 15 kilometres from Aksaray. Built in 1231 during the reign of Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I, it once served as a secure resting place for merchants and caravans travelling between Asia and Europe. The caravanserai features an impressive stone portal, a large courtyard, and a covered hall where travellers and their animals could find shelter, food, and protection. Its solid architecture and detailed stone craftsmanship reflect the power and architectural sophistication of the Seljuk period. Today, Ağzıkarahan stands as one of the best-preserved caravanserais in the region, offering visitors a glimpse into Cappadocia’s important role in medieval trade and cultural exchange.

Lake Tuz

  • 2m
Tuz Gölü is one of the largest salt lakes in Turkey and one of the most extraordinary natural landscapes in Central Anatolia. Located between Ankara, Konya, and Aksaray, the lake is famous for its dazzling white salt flats that create a surreal, mirror-like reflection during certain seasons. With its vast open horizon and crystalized salt surface, Tuz Gölü offers visitors a unique walking experience and exceptional photo opportunities. Depending on the season and water level, guests may walk on the shallow surface and observe the natural salt formations up close. The lake is also an important habitat for various bird species, making it both a scenic and ecologically significant destination.
