Mound Asikli Ancient City: According to radiocarbon dating results, settlement at Aşıklı Mound began in the 9th millennium BC and continued until the end of the 8th millennium BC. The settlement is dated to approximately 8200-7500 BC. The Aşıklı community never left the site for nearly a thousand years. This uninterrupted period of occupation can be traced through radical changes and transformations in settlement patterns and architecture, as well as relatively slow and gradual changes in economy and technology.
