The journey continues along the legendary Camino Real, an ancient path once travelled by the Guane indigenous people and, later, by the Spanish conquerors. As we move along this ancestral path, the landscape unfolds before your eyes: deep and majestic canyons, green mountains covered by a dense fog, and flora and fauna that tell stories of centuries of evolution.
When you arrive in Guane, a quiet town surrounded by an almost magical environment, you'll visit the Paleontological and Anthropological Museum. Here, the traces of prehistory come to life as you explore the fossils that attest to the evolution of the Earth, and delve into the legacy of the indigenous Guane, a people whose spirit is still felt in the air. The vestiges of their culture, customs, and struggle during the Spanish colonisation process tell us a profound storey of resistance and adaptation.
Our route continues with a stop at the viewpoint, where you can take in spectacular panoramic views of the valleys and canyons that surround this magical territory. The views are a reminder of the grandeur of nature that has shaped this region for millennia.
To round off this unique experience, we'll head to the Chapel of Santa Lucia, a historic landmark where the region's first evangelization processes began. This tranquil place witnessed the first encounters between the indigenous people and the colonizers, a starting point in the fusion of two worlds that would forever transform the destiny of this land.
