You'll start your experience by meeting your tour guide at the Secretaría de Turismo de Cali, where I'll welcome you and we'll do some stretching and a warm-up to prepare the body before the ascent. From this very first moment, you'll feel the local vibe: athletes, hikers, and travellers who, like you, come to experience one of the most traditional routes in the city.
We'll begin the ascent along the main trail of the Cerro de las 3 Cruces, a route of approximately 2 kilometres that combines sections with a moderate incline and others that are more demanding. During the hike, we'll take strategic breaks to regain energy, hydrate, and enjoy the first panoramic views of Cali, which will appear as we climb. The tour guide will accompany you at all times, helping you keep pace, giving tips, and sharing interesting facts about the history of the hill, its cultural importance, and its role in the daily life of the people of Cali.
As you continue on, you'll notice how the skyline starts to get smaller and smaller as the city opens up before your eyes. With each step, you'll feel the perfect mix of physical challenge, nature, and collective motivation, because this hill is famous for its sporting atmosphere and the positive energy conveyed by those who climb it daily.
Upon reaching the summit, you'll find the emblematic Tres Cruces, an iconic symbol of the city. Here you'll have time to rest, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy a unique panoramic view, perfect for unforgettable photos. From this point, you can see a large part of Cali, its areas, its mountainous area, and, if the weather permits, even part of the Valle del Cauca.
After a short break, we'll begin the descent at a leisurely pace, taking the opportunity to observe the vegetation on the hill, the local fauna, and the dynamics of the trail from a different perspective. Once we're back down, we'll wrap up the activity with gentle stretching to relax the muscles after the exertion.
