What you can expect

Half-Day Excursion from Cádiz
We will depart from the centre of Cadiz to embark on a route where we will visit the following places in the province:

El Puerto de Santa María
Our first stop will be at this destination with a great seafaring tradition, located in the heart of the bay, specifically next to the mouth of the Guadalete River. Did you know that it was one of the world's great trading harbours during the 17th and 18th centuries? We'll discover its history!

During our route through the city, we'll see iconic sights such as:

The Monastery of La Victoria and the Monastery of the Holy Spirit.
Stately homes and historic palaces, including the Casa de los Leones and the Palacio de Araníbar.
The city's star monument: San Marcos Castle.
The Basilica of Our Lady of Miracles.
Points of great cultural and scenic interest, such as the Foundation of the poet Rafael Alberti.
We'll take a walk from the Fuente de las Galeras along the banks of the Guadalete.
Doña Blanca Archaeological Site
Just 10 kilometres away, we'll take a trip back in time to the Poblado de Doña Blanca. This site of incalculable historical value is one of the most important Phoenician sites in the Mediterranean, dating back to the 8th century B.C.

There we can see its impressive walls, houses, and necropolis, as well as a winery and one of the oldest wine presses in the world. We'll also see the Torre de Doña Blanca, famous for being the place where Doña Blanca de Borbón, wife of King Pedro I “the Cruel”, was imprisoned.

Jerez de la Frontera
The last stage of the trip will be in the largest town in the province of Cádiz. Jerez will envelop us with its unmistakable charm, based on four pillars: flamenco, Carthusian horses, its world-famous wines, and the racing world.

We'll visit some of its most important places, including the following:

The Alcazar Califal.
The Basilica Cathedral of San Salvador.
The Monastery of Santo Domingo.
The lively Plaza del Arenal.
Finally, we'll make our way back to conclude the excursion in the city of Cádiz. Arrival is scheduled for four hours later.
