What you can expect

Join this alternative walk in the green heart of Budapest and explore all its secrets and beauty. Visit the statue of Gellért, the first Christian martyr of Hungary, from where you can see over Elizabeth Bridge and the Pest side.

Then we walk on and search for huge stoneballs scattered on the hilside! Arrive
to the Small bronze statue of Price Buda and Princess Pest, a tactile statue designated for blind people, and a lookout point over the Castle. Then, head more uphill, passing by the villas of the richest of the rich, all the way to the Citadella lookout point, for the breathtaking views of Budapest.

Go downhill and search for a Hidden Path leading to the rocky, steepest side of Gellért Hill. Walk over the river on a safe trail and arrive at a lookout point facing a new direction.

Take the stairs down and arrive at Cave Church, a religious site in a cave in the centre of Buda that was blocked by a 2-meter-thick concrete wall during communism, now open for visitors.

This is a relatively new programme here, but I have over 21 years of guiding experience: I am said to be friendly, knowledgeable and had guests from 57 countries, also a fellow world-traveller (see pic no. 6).

The Cave Church can not be visited on Sundays, we do the rest though.
