What you can expect

Discover the Arch of Triumph, a symbol of Bucharest and Romania’s victory in World War I. Inaugurated in 1936 in the presence of King Carol II and Queen Marie, this monument blends architectural grandeur with the power of national emotion.

Explore a captivating photo-documentary exhibition, see effigies of King Ferdinand I and Queen Marie, and admire exterior bas-reliefs and inscriptions. Then, take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the capital from the upper platform.

Inspired by the great Arch de Triomphe in Paris, this imposing monument blends classical architecture with deep Romanian symbolism, dedicated to the heroes who fought for independence and national unity during World War I. Completed in its current form in 1936, the monument reflects the elegance of neoclassical style, as well as the strength of an unshakable national identity.

Standing beneath the arch, visitors can almost feel the heartbeat of a nation, walk in the footsteps of history, and admire the spectacular view of one of the city’s most beautiful boulevards – Șoseaua Kiseleff – comparable in elegance to Europe’s imperial avenues.
