Enjoy the experience in a natural, tranquil, and peaceful setting, surrounded by coffee plantations and the region’s native vegetation, as you visit this high-altitude location in Boquete, Chiriquí, more than 5,250 feet (1,600 metres) above sea level, where you can combine learning with the preservation of life. During this experience, you will enjoy a comprehensive tour of the apiary, which is home to a variety of bee species. Led by our knowledgeable and passionate guides, you will learn about the bees’ history, habitat, care, and breeding.

We will explain the importance and the benefits that this small but mighty friend, the quintessential pollinator of the world's tropical and subtropical forests, brings to the environment. We will also discuss the benefits for humans.

We will open one of the hives to observe its intricate inner workings and see how bees store their honey, lay their eggs, and develop naturally in their habitat.

We will find the beehives during a short 20-minute hike. Bees visit many different flowers to collect pollen, so we will observe a few of them.
