    Before exploring the art, kick things off with an introduction to the impressive architecture of the building. Designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 1997, the museum changed the physiognomy of Bilbao forever, transforming it from an industrial city to a cosmopolitan one.

    Get to know two of the most renowned permanent exhibitions inside the museum: the spider-shaped sculpture called “Mum” by Louise Bourgeois, and Jeff Koons’ iconic “Puppy”, which has become no less than a symbol of Bilbao.
