What you can expect

Discover the beauty and volcanic fury of the Big Island as you fly over one of the most geologically active environments on earth. View lava flows and black-sand beaches from above on this tour voted the “World's Best Helicopter Thrill” by the Travel Channel.

Take off from the Waikoloa heliport and fly out over what is often referred to as the most geologically active setting on the planet, the famous Kilauea volcano. This intriguing volcano has been continuously erupting since 1983. Enjoy thrilling bird's-eye views of the Madame Pele lava flows in the volcanic badlands. Pele is the goddess of volcanoes, a deity with a fiery temper who is always fighting with her sister, the goddess of the sea.

Witness the lush rainforests along the Hamakua coastline. Travel along towering sea cliffs that boarder the deep, meandering valleys of the Kohala mountains. Dramatic waterfalls cascade thousands of feet into the forest below, heading out to the sea, and remnants of ancient Hawaiian settlements are still visible in the area.
