Paro

After arrival in Paro meet our representative and then have your lunch at Paro. After lunch carry out your sightseeing programme visiting the Rinpung Dzong which is currently used as an administration centre and school for monks. Later depart to Thimphu,which is made up of just three lines of shops and is the only capital in the world without traffic lights. Check in at hotel. Within the evening visit Handicrafts Emporium, this has all types of Bhutanese handicrafts for sale. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha (1310m)

Early in the morning after breakfast drive towards Punakha crossing over Dochula Pass (3140m) for about 1 & half hours. Dochula offers the spectacular view of eastern Himalayas in the clear weather. On the way take a short hike through beautiful rice fields to Chimmi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to Drukpa Kuenly, also known as “the Divine Madman”. Later in the afternoon visit the beautiful Punakha Dzong located at the confluence of the Pho-chu and Mo-chu river. In the evening drive to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Punakha to Paro (2250m)

Punakha

After early breakfast, drive from Punakha to Paro re-crossing Dochula Pass. Stop at Thimphu for lunch. Day 4: Paro – Hike to Taktsang Monastery

Afterwards, hike back to the road point then drive to Kyichu Lakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in Bhutan.
