Best of the Sahara – Day Trip (about 11 hours)

Departure around 6:30 am – Head to the desert
Early morning departure from your hotel in Djerba. You'll cross the Roman road, a historical link between the island and the continent, before reaching the arid landscapes of southern Tunisia, between desert plains and Berber villages.
Ksar Hadada - Tataouine
Located in the Tataouine region, Ksar Hadada is an old Berber collective granary composed of superimposed ghorfas, formerly used to store crops.
This authentic site is also famous for being used as a set for the Star Wars film. A fascinating immersion in Berber architecture and history.
Take a scenic break in Guermassa
Photo stop in the Berber village of Guermassa, perched on the heights. You'll enjoy a spectacular view of the rocky hills and the surrounding desert immensity.
Ksar Ghilane Oasis
You'll arrive in Ksar Ghilane, one of the most beautiful oases in the Tunisian Sahara.
A unique setting combining fine sand dunes, palm trees, and a natural hot spring, perfect for a moment of relaxation and swimming in the heart of the desert.

Discover the essentials of Djerba in a small group, away from the big tourist buses.

Tours and stops included:
Roman road: panoramic stop on this historic structure connecting Djerba to the mainland
Guellala: visit a traditional pottery factory and discover local know-how
✡️ El Ghriba Synagogue, the oldest in North Africa
(indoor visit not possible on Saturdays)
Djerbahood: a village transformed into an open-air museum with murals by artists from around the world
Houmt Souk: free time in the souks (market days: Monday and Thursday morning)
Fort Ghazi Mustapha: a historic fortress overlooking the sea
(indoor visit possible except Friday – approx. €2.50)
You can tour the island in the morning or afternoon, depending on your preferences.
