Best of the Sahara – Full-Day Tour (about 11 hours)

Departure around 6:30 AM – Heading to the desert
Early morning departure from your hotel on Djerba Island. You will cross the Roman causeway, a historic link between the island and the mainland, before reaching the arid landscapes of southern Tunisia, between desert plains and Berber villages.
Ksar Hadada – Tataouine
Located in the Tataouine region, Ksar Hadada is an ancient Berber communal granary consisting of stacked ghorfas, once used to store harvests.
This authentic site is also famous for having been used as a set for the Star Wars films. A fascinating immersion in Berber architecture and history.
Panoramic stop in Guermassa
Photo stop in the Berber village of Guermassa, perched high up. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the rocky hills and the vast desert landscape surrounding you.
Ksar Ghilane Oasis
Arrival at Ksar Ghilane, one of the most beautiful oases in the Tunisian Sahara.
A unique setting combining fine sand dunes, palm trees and a natural hot spring, ideal for relaxing and swimming in the heart of the desert.

Roman causeway: panoramic stop at this historic structure connecting Djerba to the mainland
Guellala: Visit to a traditional pottery workshop and discovery of local craftsmanship
✡️ El Ghriba Synagogue, the oldest in North Africa
(Interior tour not possible on Saturdays)
Djerbahood: a village transformed into an open-air museum with murals created by artists from all over the world
️ Houmt Souk: Free time in the souks (market days: Monday and Thursday mornings)
Fort Ghazi Mustapha: historic fortress overlooking the sea
(Interior visit possible except on Fridays – approx. €2.50)
