Berlenga Grande is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and setting foot on it is the real challenge: landings are capped by the official ICNF island permit (the BerlengaPass), the boat is a separate ticket, and the Atlantic can close the crossing with little warning. On this private day trip we solve everything in one booking. Your driver-guide choices you up at your Lisbon hotel, cruise port or airport and drives you to Peniche. On Berlenga you walk the trails to the 17th-century Forte de Sao Joao Baptista and the 1840 lighthouse, and swim in clear Atlantic coves like Carreiro do Mosteiro.
