Travel on the Flåm Railway, one of the world's steepest train journeys, winding down dramatic mountain slopes to the village of Flåm. From there, drive up to the Stegastein viewpoint for breathtaking views before returning to Flåm for some free time, then end the day with a scenic cruise on the fjord.
First, you'll be picked up from the meeting point in the morning and begin the drive to Voss. From Voss, you board a train towards Myrdal, where you'll change onto the Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) for the dramatic descent to Flåm village. Along the way, see snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, and crystal-clear rivers and lakes, depending on the season.
In Flåm, your guide will pick you up and drive to the Stegastein viewpoint, just 30 minutes away, before heading back to Flåm.
Back in the village, you'll have some free time to enjoy lunch, do some shopping, or visit the Flåm Railway Museum (own expense). Nestled along the Aurlandsfjord and surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and farmland, Flåm is a charming spot to wander before the next leg of the journey.
Next, board a fjord cruise from Flåm to Gudvangen, taking in some of the most spectacular fjord scenery in Norway.
Finally, at the end of the cruise, your guide will meet you and drive back to Bergen, where your day trip will conclude.
