Chocolate Amatller is the oldest brand in Barcelona. Since 1797, it has preserved a legacy where art and chocolate come together in each of its creations.

Founded in the heart of the city, today you can immerse yourself in its history in the very place where it all began: in El Born, a area famous for its rich history and gastronomy, just a few metres from its birthplace, Plaça de les Olles.

Enjoy a unique 40-minute experience where history, tradition, and chocolate come together. Through an audiovisual presentation, you'll travel back to the 18th century to learn about the origins of Chocolate Amatller and its legacy in the city of Barcelona.

Next, we'll teach you how to taste chocolate with all five senses using a personalised kit, discovering the flavours, aromas, and textures of our brand's most iconic chocolates: Flors and Hojas Finas.

You will then experience making cocoa with your own hands, just as Gabriel Amatller did in the 19th century in the heart of Barcelona, giving you an insight into the artisanal process of chocolate making.

You'll also be transported back in time, learning first-hand how drinking chocolate was consumed in 17th-century Barcelona, and you'll be able to taste it in the most authentic way with our original recipe.

The experience continues in the store, where you can keep discovering and tasting the brand's iconic collections.
