Day 1: Journey to the Wild & Turtle Conservation Experience
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup at 08:00 AM from your hotel in Banyuwangi, Ketapang Harbour, or Banyuwangi Airport.
Travel approximately one hour to visit the enchanting Djawatan Forest, often referred to as the “Mini Lord of the Rings” due to its towering ancient trees and mystical atmosphere.
Continue your journey towards Meru Betiri National Park in a rugged 4x4 Jeep, traversing plantations, rivers, and tropical terrain for about two hours.
Upon arrival, enjoy a guided trek to Green Bay Beach, a hidden paradise known for its crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and panoramic bay views. Take time to relax, swim, and soak in the natural beauty.
In the afternoon, proceed by Jeep to Sukamade Beach (approximately 1–2 hours). Check in at a simple local homestay and enjoy some rest.
Later, visit the turtle conservation area where you may observe hatchlings or learn about turtle preservation efforts. After dinner, prepare for a night excursion.
At around 20:00, join a briefing led by park rangers before heading to the beach for a guided turtle-watching experience. With luck, you will witness giant sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs—an extraordinary natural phenomenon.
Return to your homestay for overnight rest.
Day 2: Turtle Release & Return Journey
Wake up early at 06:00 AM for a heartwarming experience—releasing baby sea turtles into the ocean as part of ongoing conservation efforts.
Afterwards, return to the homestay for breakfast and prepare for check-out.
Between 08:00–09:00 AM, begin your return journey to Banyuwangi by Jeep and car, which takes approximately five hours.
Your tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel, Banyuwangi Airport, or Ketapang Harbour, arriving around 13:00–14:00.
