This 4-day overland tour is designed for thrill-seekers who want to maximise their time in East Java. Starting directly with a midnight expedition in Banyuwangi, this itinerary covers the region's most iconic volcanic and tropical wonders.
Day 1: Arrival & Midnight Transfer to Ijen (Paltuding)
Your adventure begins with a pickup in Banyuwangi. We will transfer you to your hotel in the Banyuwangi area for check-in. Enjoy your free time to relax and rest early, preparing your energy for the upcoming midnight trek.
Day 2: Ijen Blue Fire, Djawatan Forest & Transfer to Tumpak Sewu
At midnight, begin your trek to the summit of Ijen Crater to witness the rare electric Blue Fire and the vast acidic lake. After the trek and breakfast, visit the enchanting Djawatan Forest, famous for its ancient giant trees. In the afternoon, we continue our journey with a long drive to the Tumpak Sewu area for check-in and rest.
Day 3: Tumpak Sewu, Blue Cotton Falls & Transfer to Bromo
Explore the magnificent Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Indonesia’s most spectacular “thousand waterfalls,” and the nearby Blue Cotton (Kapas Biru) falls. Descend into the lush canyon for a breathtaking view from the bottom. Afterwards, we travel towards the Bromo area to check in at your accommodation.
Day 4: Bromo Sunrise & Surabaya Drop-off
Board a 4x4 Jeep early in the morning for a legendary sunrise over the Bromo caldera. Walk across the Sea of Sand and hike to the rim of the active Bromo crater. After a final breakfast and check-out, enjoy a comfortable transfer to Surabaya, with drop-offs at Juanda International Airport or your city hotel.
