What you can expect

Start your day with a journey beyond Bangkok to the Maeklong Railway Market, one of Thailand’s most unique local experiences. Here, daily life unfolds directly on active railway tracks. Stalls are filled with fresh fruits, seafood, spices, snacks, and local goods. When the train approaches, vendors quickly pull back their awnings and products just inches from the tracks. Moments after the train passes, the market returns to life as if nothing happened.

After exploring the market, continue to the pier and board a traditional long-tail boat for a scenic 45-minute ride towards Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Glide through peaceful canals surrounded by wooden houses, tropical greenery, and riverside communities. Along the way, see how local people live, trade, and travel by water, offering a glimpse into Thailand’s canal-side culture.

Arrive at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, one of the country’s most colourful markets. Boats move through the canals selling tropical fruits, coconut desserts, noodles, souvenirs, and local snacks. Enjoy time to explore, shop, take photos, or taste Thai street food while soaking in the lively atmosphere.

After the countryside experience, return to Bangkok for the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Walk through Thailand’s most important royal landmark, known for golden spires, detailed architecture, sacred halls, and rich history. Inside the palace grounds, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha stands as one of the most sacred temples in Thailand. Your guide will share stories of Thai royalty, Buddhism, and culture.

Next, continue to Tha Chang Pier for a local Bangkok experience. From here, take a public boat across the Chao Phraya River, travelling the way many locals do in daily life. As the boat crosses the river, enjoy views of passing boats, temple rooftops, riverside communities, and Bangkok’s waterways.

Arrive at Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. This riverside landmark is one of Bangkok’s most beautiful temples, famous for its tall central prang decorated with colourful porcelain and intricate details. Standing beside the river, Wat Arun offers one of the most memorable views of Bangkok’s old town.

After visiting Wat Arun, continue by short ferry ride to Tha Tien Pier. This lively riverside area connects famous cultural landmarks and gives another glimpse of local river life, where monks, students, workers, and travellers move through the city by boat.

From Tha Tien Pier, walk to Wat Pho, home of the world-famous Reclining Buddha. Explore one of Bangkok’s oldest and most important temple complexes, known for peaceful courtyards, golden Buddha images, traditional Thai architecture, and Thai massage traditions.

Your tour ends at Wat Pho with a complete full-day experience of Thailand. From railway markets and floating canals to royal palaces, local ferries, riverside temples, and sacred Buddhist landmarks, this journey brings together culture, history, local life, and scenery in one route.
