What you can expect

With our expert guide, we'll explore the Cenote Azul, once considered a portal to the underworld, a place of connection with the gods, and a source of life. It was believed that these waters were divine and purified the body and soul with their ancestral wisdom.

After swimming in its beautiful, warm, and crystal-clear waters, we'll discover Bacalar's best-kept secret and jewel, one of the most impressive archaeological sites recently opened to the public by the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History).

We'll climb pyramids over 43 metres high—some of the tallest in the Mayan area—and explore the Central Plaza, one of the largest documented in the region.

We'll enjoy a unique experience with 360° panoramic views of the Mayan jungle from the upper platforms; the perfect spot for photos and selfies.

We'll have the opportunity to see the aguadas, ancient water reservoirs used to store our vital liquid and living testaments to Mayan hydraulic engineering, which, thousands of years later, are now home to two crocodiles.

We'll connect with nature by observing the local flora, and with a bit of luck, we'll see spider monkeys in their natural habitat.
