Overview

  • During this trip, I want you to discover the authentic Provence off the beaten track. We'll start this day by a real journey to the past.

    After the death of Jesus, Mary Magdalene's moved to Provence and spent her last 33 years in the grotto in the Sainte Baume massif. The place is very inspiring. You'll walk there on your own, at your own pace, and you'll have enough time to pray or meditate.

    Then, I'll offer you a local sandwich & a glass of rosé from my village. We'll reach Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, a small coloured Provencal town : free time for shopping, ice creams, coffee and visit of Mary Magdalene basilica where her skull is preserved.

    We'll finish the day by a drive through the beautiful Sainte Victoire valley. If we have time, you can have a walk through the vines fields, visit a small, authentic village or taste local wines.

    Whether you are a pilgrim or simply fascinated by the incredible storey of Mary Magdalene, I look forward to welcoming you for this mystical day!

You will hike through the mystic forest till the grotto where lived Mary Magdalene for her last 30 years. Amazing view of Provence and even Alps! Amazing atmosphere there..very inspiring place. Don't forget good shoes.
