What you can expect

Unlike many city tours that are packed with people, this tour is capped at just seven travellers, providing an intimate setting for exploration. Ideal for those who want a relaxed and personal sightseeing experience.

Your adventure begins with convenient pickup at your city centre Austin hotel. From there, head to Mount Bonnell, where you can enjoy wide panoramic views of the Austin skyline and surrounding landscapes, perfect for taking memorable pictures. Access to the top includes approximately 100 stairs with a railing.

Continue with a scenic drive past Lake Austin, taking in the natural beauty and waterfront homes along the way. Then pass by the lively South Congress district, a trendy, bohemian neighbourhood and popular shopping district known for its eclectic shops and vibrant atmosphere.

Next, stop at one of Austin’s most popular murals, the classic “Greetings from Austin” artwork — a perfect photo op that captures the city’s creative spirit.

Along the way, enjoy a surprise food stop where you’ll get to sample local flavours, adding a delicious highlight to your experience.

Finally, visit the iconic Texas State Capitol, the main feature of the tour. This beautiful Italian Renaissance Revival building, completed in 1888, includes a walk-through of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Stroll the grounds and interior with your guide and see important monuments including the Heroes of the Alamo, the Confederate Soldiers Monument, and the Volunteer Firemen Monument.

Throughout the tour, your knowledgeable local guide shares interesting stories and insights about the city. The tour ends with a comfortable ride back to your city centre hotel.

A relaxed, small-group way to see Austin’s most important sights and enjoy its unique character.
