The departure will be at Cinquale, from the new headquarters of Bicisport Sanguinetti near the tourist port. First travelling along a stretch of Versilia, a renowned summer holiday resort, and skirting the green protected area of Lago di Porta, you will then begin to rise in altitude to arrive at Passo Croce at around 1200 metres above sea level, so as to enjoy the an open view that reaches all the way to the sea. At the panoramic point we will find the giant bench called Big Bench Terrinca, where we could sit in complete relaxation and delight in the view of the wonderful landscape. The route is full of history, as we will cross the two oldest villages in Versilia located at the foot of Mount Corchia: Terrinca, a small village 500 m above sea level. which is believed to have been founded by settlers from Luni at the time of Rome with finds dating back to the 3rd and 2nd century BC, and Levigliani, the highest town in all of Versilia at 650 m above sea level. Just 2 km from the village there are the famous Caves of the Corchia Cave where it is possible to delve into the wonders of this sealed world, among the clear waters of the underground lakes and surreal gullies, in the charm of the “Petrified Forest” or among the magical forms of the “Stalactite Gallery”.
Before embarking on the return road via an ancient mule track, we will stop at the Agriturismo Le Coppelle. Immersed in the heart of the Apuan Alps park at 1,000 m above sea level, it is surrounded by a large green space where it is possible, in addition to tasting the typical products, to observe the supply chain that characterises it: stables, sheep pastures, the Belato Nero dairy and catering).
So don't be in doubt, with this Tour the spectacle is guaranteed!
