6:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. – Hotel pick-up in city centre Arequipa. Our first stop will be the village of Pampa de Arrieros, which once served as the gateway to the “White City” for those arriving by train. Next, we will head to Patahuasi to have a traditional herbal infusion—essential for preventing altitude sickness—along with breakfast. We will then proceed to the Puruña Stone Forest, where we will embark on an approximately 40-minute hike to appreciate this natural landscape, characterised by its unique rock formations and stone columns. After about an hour, we will arrive at the Pillones Waterfall, a magnificent spot to connect with nature. We will begin the descent to the waterfall—a journey taking about 20 minutes—and once there, we can gaze at the impressive cascades and enjoy time to take photos and admire the incredible surrounding scenery. We will also be able to observe rock formations sculpted by water erosion. Lunch (Patahuasi). Finally, after enjoying this wonderful setting, we will head back to the city. 5:30 p.m. – Arrival in Arequipa and drop-off near the Plaza de Armas.
