Activity itinerary

Guadalajara Metropolitan Area

  • 2h
Our morning begins at the Santa Teresita Parish, where we will learn how Catholic refugees, driven by armed conflict, founded this traditional area a century ago. Then we'll stroll to the bustling neighborhood’s market for a true taste of Guadalajara. Prepare your taste buds for a feast of local specialities: from succulent birria and iconic tortas ahogadas to tender pastor tacos, mouthwatering quesadillas (flat-grilled or deep fried), and savoury chilaquiles! Your guide will provide recommendations and you'll be free to choose your preferred delicacy (food is included, all dietary preferences are welcome!).

Guadalajara Metropolitan Area

  • 3h
Next, we'll explore Colonia Americana, a beautiful area renowned for its eclectic early 20th-century architecture and vibrant creative atmosphere. Today, it is one of Guadalajara's most dynamic districts, filled with tree-lined streets, independent cafés, art galleries, and a thriving local scene. We'll admire three of Luis Barragán's earliest residential projects from the 1920s, stepping inside two of the three houses, and discover the enduring legacy of the Tapatío School of Architecture through the works of renowned architects such as Pedro Castellanos Lambley, Luis Ugarte, and Ignacio Díaz Morales. To conclude the experience, you can unwind at one of the neighborhood's stylish cafés, craft breweries, or cocktail bars, where you may choose to enjoy a coffee, a local craft beer, or a tequila or mezcal cocktail before we part ways.
