Day Trip: Abancay – Ampay Sanctuary

We will begin the experience with pick-up from your hotel in Abancay at approximately 6:00 a.m.

We will travel to Ampay Sanctuary, where we will visit the ticket office and pay the entrance fee directly.

The sanctuary is home to remarkable biodiversity and several protected natural areas. It is especially known for the Intimpa, an ancient native tree characteristic of the region.

We will visit Angasccocha Lagoon, the second-largest lagoon in the sanctuary. To reach it, we will hike for approximately 45 minutes. The lagoon is known for its beautiful turquoise-colored waters.

We will then continue our tour through the Intimpa forest and finally visit Uspaccocha Lagoon.

After completing the visit, we will return to the city of Abancay at approximately 3:00 p.m.
