Take the wheel on The Cahuilla Crawl, a 2.5-hour “You-Drive” off-road tour built as the perfect introduction to the Anza Valley and the Riverside County highlands. Start from Anza and follow a professional lead guide into wide-open high-desert scenery that quickly shifts into cooler forest climbs and ridgeline viewpoints. It’s paced for beginners, but still delivers that real off-road feeling—without committing to a full-day expedition.
After a full route briefing and off-road coaching, you’ll drive one of our purpose-built 4x4 Jeeps while the guide leads the convoy, manages navigation, and provides trail support. Every vehicle includes a two-way radio, so you can stay connected and confident as the terrain changes. Along the way, you’ll experience the dramatic elevation shift of the San Bernardino National Forest, including routes in the Cahuilla Mountain region and nearby highland corridors.
Your itinerary includes scenic stops designed for the best views and photos: pause at the Cahuilla Mountain trail area, take on a fun “poser” rock climb for classic off-road shots, and finish with a lookout over Bautista Canyon, where you can spot the historic Juan Bautista de Anza Trail below. Expect sweeping skyline views of the Anza Valley and the surrounding peaks—including Mount San Jacinto on clear days.
Return to the meeting point with a stronger feel for the landscape, sharper off-road confidence, and a camera roll full of highland vistas.
