Try your hand at capturing the dazzling light show of the Northern Lights with your camera, with photographic coaching and aurora portraits provided for those who desire them. Opt to rent a camera if you need one; simply contact us in advance to make arrangements for a camera rental. Parkas are also available if you request in advance. Tripods are complimentary on the tour for all guests.

We do a daily forecast update for both the aurora borealis and the weather. The tour runs only if the forecast indicates a chance of seeing the aurora. Aurora viewing can be affected by the strength of the aurora, the brightness of the moon, and whether the skies are cloudy. Because both weather and the aurora borealis are natural phenomena, we cannot guarantee seeing the northern lights. If you do not see the northern lights during your tour, you get a free make-up tour.
