What you can expect

  • Meet your guide, a former dominatrix or highly trained expert guide, and set off on a walking tour of Amsterdam's Red Light District. Walk through medieval alleys where sailors once bargained with brothel tokens, discover why the church owned these buildings, and see how today's legal window system really works.

From its origins in the 1300s to modern pandemic closures and city “cleanup” plans, hear how it's always been about money, power, survival, and negotiation. Personal anecdotes meet centuries-old archives in this small-group experience that gets you the stories no guidebook tells.
