What you can expect

  • Rapa Nui: Private Excursion to the Ancient Remains of the East Coast
    Starting Point (9:30 a.m.): Meet your private guide and board the vehicle in Hanga Roa.
    Stop 1 – Vaihu (40 min): Walking tour of this pristine site to learn about the history of the toppled moai and the residential structures.
    Stop 2 – Ahu Akahanga (40 min): Guided visit to the platform linked to the tomb of King Hotu Matu'a.
    Stop 3 – Rano Raraku Quarry (1.5 hours): Guided walk along the trails of the statue quarry and the crater vantage point.
    Stop 4 – Ahu Tongariki (45 min): Tour of the ceremonial altar with 15 moai standing facing the sea.
    Stop 5 – Ahu Te Pito Kura (35 min): Viewing of the Paro moai and the sacred magnetic stone.
    Stop 6 – Anakena Beach and Ahu Nau Nau (approx. 1h): Cultural visit to the ceremonial altar followed by free time in the bay.
    Return (4:30 PM approx.): Drop-off back at the original pick-up point in Hanga Roa.

    Tips.
    Know before you go:
    Duration: Approximately 7 hours (9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
    What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, sun protection (sun cream, hat, sunglasses), swimming costume, towel, water, and a light jacket.
    Park Rules: It is forbidden to touch the statues or climb onto the altars (ahu). The use of drones is not permitted without prior authorisation.
    Mandatory requirement: Present the official Rapa Nui National Park ticket.
