Day 2: Gaysay – Sodota Camp Trekking Experience
After breakfast, venture deeper into the park on a full-day trek through Afro-alpine scenery and rolling moorlands. This remote region offers excellent opportunities to observe high-altitude wildlife and rare bird species. The trek to Sodota Camp provides stunning viewpoints and a true wilderness experience. Day 3: Sodota – Sanetti Plateau – Tullu Dimtu – Goba
Travel to the Sanetti Plateau, one of Africa’s highest plateaus and a key habitat of the endangered Ethiopian wolf. Explore its unique alpine ecosystem before continuing to Tullu Dimtu (4,377 m), Ethiopia’s second-highest peak. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the summit. Later, descend and drive to Goba town for overnight.
Day 4: Goba – Arsi Mountains – Sodere Hot Springs
Depart Goba and journey towards the scenic Arsi Mountains, known for their forests, valleys, and birdlife. Enjoy light exploration and photography opportunities in this less-visited region. Continue to Sodere, where you can relax in natural hot springs surrounded by lush vegetation. Overnight in Sodere.
Day 5: Sodere – Awash National Park – Doho Lodge
Drive to Awash National Park for a wildlife safari. Spot species such as Beisa Oryx, gazelles, baboons, and kudu while exploring volcanic landscapes and riverine habitats. Visit scenic viewpoints and Awash Falls if time permits. In the afternoon, continue to Doho Lodge and unwind in its hot spring setting. Overnight at Doho Lodge.
Day 6: Doho – Alledeghi Wildlife Reserve – Addis Ababa
After breakfast, visit Alledeghi Wildlife Reserve, known for its dry savannah ecosystem and wildlife such as ostriches and gazelles. After exploration, drive back to Addis Ababa via Adama. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional Ethiopian cuisine, music, and dance before transfer to your hotel or airport.
