Enjoy a unique experience in the heart of the Maiella National Park and discover the fascinating world of the Apennine wolf up close.
The guided visit to the Wolf Visitor Centre will take you on a route immersed in nature, designed for adults and children who want to learn more about one of Italy's most iconic and fascinating animals.
The experience begins with a guided walk along an easy nature trail of about 2.5 km, during which the environmental guide will share interesting facts, behaviours, and characteristics of the Apennine wolf, dispelling myths and false beliefs. You will then reach the dedicated vantage point, from which you can observe the wolves housed within the wildlife area and learn about their history.
The route continues with a visit to the other animals in the centre, including deer, fallow deer, mouflon, wild boar and birds of prey rescued from difficult situations or sourced from wildlife protection activities.
The visit lasts about 2.5 hours and is suitable for the whole family. A special opportunity to get closer to nature, understand the importance of biodiversity conservation, and have an authentic experience in the heart of Abruzzo.
