Morning
Depart early from Calgary and travel south along the Queen Elizabeth II Highway towards Waterton Lakes National Park, one of southern Alberta’s most celebrated natural treasures. Set at the Canadian–US border, this UNESCO-recognized park is known for its dramatic meeting of prairie and mountain landscapes.
Midday
Arrive at the iconic Prince of Wales Hotel, dramatically perched above Upper Waterton Lake. Guests may choose to enhance their visit with an optional Afternoon Tea experience (advance reservation required), or enjoy time to explore the grounds and take in sweeping views of the lake and surrounding peaks.
Those wishing to further enrich their visit may opt for the Waterton Lake Cruise (optional, approx. 90 minutes). This relaxing shoreline cruise glides across pristine waters, offering panoramic views that extend into Glacier National Park. The cruise crosses the international boundary without docking on the US side.
Afternoon
Continue to Cameron Falls for a short walk and photo stop. Glacier-fed waters cascade through a narrow gorge, creating one of the park’s most picturesque natural scenes.
Evening
Depart Waterton Lakes National Park and return by coach to Calgary, where you will check in to your hotel.
